The Model 455 from CZ-USA is an old world style Mauser action in a rimfire, with a combination option to shoot more than one caliber in the same gun. Our test gun came with a .17HMR and a .22LR barrel. Swapping the barrels is easy and can be done in the field or at the range with the two included Allen wrenches.
A modestly priced .22 with exceptional out-of-the-box accuracy is topped with the Leatherwood USMC 8x Sniper scope, making for one classy rimfire. The flat, wide base of the CZ 455 Varmintโs stock is well-proportioned to its heavy bull barrel, and it is handy for benchrest-style shooting. It was one of those mornings.
That is the CZ455 in its switch-barrel mode. Returning to the actual rifle I was sent, though it is a 455, it is different from standard versions. First and foremost, the thing that struck me was the stock; it is a standard, well-proportioned thumbhole, the dimensions of which are excellent, giving a great and stable grip.

I have a CZ 457 MTR that has a match chamber. I can shoot less than 1 inch at 100 yards. I saw an add for a Bertlein CZ 457 barrel with a Bentz chamber for around $400.00. Does anyone have any experience with the CZ 457 Bartlein barrel. What improvements could one expect. $400.00 is half the price of a CZ457 MTR. Thanks for any information.
